She heads the Qualitative Methods and Interpretative Social Research Unit.

In her research, she deals with gender relations and asks how they are stabilised and how they change. In doing so, she takes a look at various social structures, such as organisations, professions, family living conditions, religion and technical infrastructures. Theoretical references include the sociology of knowledge, organisation studies, science and technology studies and pragmatist-interactionist approaches. In this way, transitions (such as historical shifts in the relationship between profession and gender) come into view as processual, actively produced and situated phenomena. Methodologically, the focus of the work is on qualitative methods, especially in the field of grounded theory and situational analysis.

contact Eberhard Karls University TübingenFaculty of Economics and Social Science, Teaching in methods of Empirical Social Science Research Haußerstrasse 11 72076 Tübingen +49 (0)7071-2977513ursula.offenberger(at)uni-tuebingen.de Homepage of the Department Qualitative Methods and […]

[14
post-2343","page","type-page","status-publish","entry
["GET
